So today I released the very first Patron Extra Episode of the podcast over on my Patreon page. If you are not a subscriber to the weekly email newsletter or have not listened to the first two episodes of the podcast (find them here and here), you may not be familiar with the Patreon campaign so I’ll explain briefly in case it’s something you might be interested in.
Patreon is essentially a service that allows content producers like myself to accept monthly donations from folks who would like to do so, and offer small extra perks in return. They do the work of handling the subscriptions and payment information, as well as allowing me to create different support levels and offer different “rewards” to people who support the show at different levels. You can get all of the information about the campaign and the available levels of support & rewards by visiting my Patreon page. But the short of it is that for supporters who pledge $3 a month or more (currently available levels are $1/month, $3/month and $5/month), I’m doing an extra episode of the podcast each month and posting it on my Patreon page exclusively for those supporters. Patrons at all levels also get access to the Patron Community page there which I think could be a nice forum to share questions, topic suggestions, and just chit-chat about the show or woodworking in general.
If you aren’t in a position to support the show with a donation, or just don’t want to, that’s OK too. The blog and regular bi-weekly podcast will always be free to everyone as long as I am able to continue doing it. Even if all you do is read the blog and/or listen to the show and spread the word about it, I am still just as grateful as I am for financial support. I appreciate everyone’s support in any form. So thank you!
