Video: Three Tips for More Precise Hand Sawing
Important Note: This is an old video and in the video, I refer to lining up your dominant eye over the saw several times. However, I used the wrong terminology in these cases. It is possible to be cross-eye dominant, but this is not important when it comes to hand sawing. Unlike sighting a rifle, when using a hand saw, we are not sighting at a distance, so eye dominance does not matter. So ignore the reference to dominant eye, as it was the incorrect terminology to use (I can’t correct it in an old YouTube video unfortunately). If you are a right handed sawyer, line your right eye up over the saw. If you are a left handed sawyer, line your left eye up over the saw. That is all.
